Pintados, from the Spanish word Pintado meaning painted. The term used by Spanish colonists to describe the tattooed indigenous people in the Philippines.
Inspired by this, I've created fictional characters, 4 teens that were given powers to control the 4 elements (Water, Wind, Land, Fire). They also have these 4 different weapons that harness the power of these elements. They're distinguished by the Tattoo or "Pintado" in their faces. They are set on an adventure and to save the world from evil.
