Heedless was once a house pet that was taken care of by a kind family until his house was burnt down during a forest fire. His family left him behind and Jake(Heedless), not knowing where he was due to all the smoke wandered around the forest looking for the family. Instead he found what appeared to be a crazy lumberjack. The lumberjack started to chase him down through the woods until Jake was trapped. The lumberjack laughed and smiled insanely as he separated Jake’s head from his body, and left him in the woods to perish. Jake was instead brought back by the forest spirits and became a spirit himself, his name changed to Heedless and he became close friends with another named Smoker, that died in a boiling pool of water polluted by ashes and smoke also during the fire. He still wanders that forest preventing any more fires and protecting any hikers from strange figures.
