Alex is basically a big douche. He and Amythest are enemies, and have been since they met, in first grade. He is the kind of guy who doesn't care how much trouble he gets in, and has almost gotten arrested a dozen times.
Andrew is Alex's little brother. He is the exact opposite as his brother. He spends most of his time at the library, and plans to go to law school and become a lawyer. When he is not at the library, he is mainly talking to police officers, getting his brother out of trouble. He is acquaintance with Amythest, and they met one day when Amythest went to the library to do research for a project.
