Although it's just a psychological theory, not everyone laugh a lot have sad background, at least for what I think it is. But anyways...
Her own story:
Even when you try to smile, you really can't hide your sorrow from of yourself. You will only go deeper into the abyss, pleading for someone's hand for her to reach.
Her character usually showing her positive side to others, that's because she don't want to make others leave her, afraid that she's not good enough for them. However, her distance will only get further the more she try to plead, as if she didn't try hard enough.
How long will it be, until she break her own character? Will anyone gets her? Will she go deeper from where she was? Is there any light for her to reach? She didn't know, didn't want to know either...
