After being saved from the influence of Manalodia's Scarlet Queen, it would be a time for her to physically and mentally recover from the ordeal. Exposure to the grand glyph loosed the curse of blood. She would eventually join Rema, Kalen and Kalmia in searching for Duske, who disappeared at the conclusion of the confrontation with the fallen ehmatta possessing Mila. Unlike Miriam and her exposure to Agratbatmahlat, Mila was able to see beyond the veil, yet not at will.
Because Ovara was high in the ranks of Bal Hora and what part she played, a punishment was still required for her despite the aid she lent to her house and ultimately, the loyalists. Mila would go inbetween staying with Miriam and Ovara's hideaway.
