The father and son represent us. Our parents guide us through life, smile with us in happy times and help us in sad times.
The seasons represent stages of life. In spring, flowers blooming everywhere. It is beautiful and colorful, much like childhood.
In summer, the weather is hot and it is normally packed with activities. This depicts teenage and adult life, where we have to keep up with work and routines.
In autumn, the leaves turn yellow and red. It is a cool and relaxing time. Like later in life, we see things differently, leaves can be red and yellow, not only green. We understand ourselves and the world better.
In winter, it is cold but snow is pure and beautiful. Not many people have seen snow. Just like the elderly, they have a lot of experience and wisdom.
At the end is a Shinto Gate. It is an entrance to a sacred, heavenly and peaceful place, marking the end of the fulfilling and content path.
Life is a journey. Enjoy every little moment with your loved ones.
