The arson attack on KyotoAni on June 18th, 2019 was terrible, but to lose 36 lives, who were so talented and had such bright futures... For me, it is like a personal loss. So it is with much love and heart that I've created this illustration. These characters are from my favorite KyoAni works: A Silent Voice, Violet Evergarden, Hyouka, and Chunibiyou Demo Koi ga Shitai !.

Yet out of the ashes of this tragedy, shall Kyoto Animation rise stronger, safer, better, and continue their journey with new talents and higher quality storytelling. My condolences go out to the victim's families and friends that were affected on this tragic day. I wish them the best.
