I was thinking that this creature could be someone who died, most likely a child. Then they become this thing...that doesn't have a name I SUCK AT MAKING NAMES I'M SORRY XD
So that means that if a human beefriends a creature and they later die, they can reunite with the creature in this form bc they keep their memories and crap...you get the point.
The second form they they can take really just depends on their morals.
