Rits and Mao lived in the Middle Ages, and Mao was a commoner, and Ritz was a nobleman.The rumor of the Ritz's family is a vampire spreads and they are decided to be burned as a witch hunt. When Mao stood up for Ritz, he was treated like a vampire too, and they were executed together. Only Ritz, a true vampire, survived(a monster effect) and Mao lost his life. Centuries passed, and Ritz met Mao and went to the Yume no Saki Academy on purpose.
