my au is that animals humans with animals and gained the animals abilities , (seeing better in the dark, having better balance ect) the mutation contained the ears and tailbone to grow with the teeth forming differently (depending on herbavore or carnivore) because raccoons are omnivores the canines only grew slightly, raccoons are one of the most common species of animals and overpopulate large areas such as cities where they can get any food they wish for (trash food ' as Americans would say , cats dogs rabbits and common bird morphs (pigeon crow raven and robins) are also commonly found , this was honestly one of the easiest things I've ever done , colour wise and design wise because I've gotten rid of my art block :)
