When I first draw this character, I imagined it as a mythical being; he's mysterious (we can't see his face properly, only his glowing eyes), but very kind and calm - although his figure may seem a little odd.
His body is a mixture of different animals: as he is a spirit of the forest, his own body represents it. The bright tattoos are marks that show his power, with them, he can use some of his tools to protect himself and his home.
Creating this character was a good way of training art concept.
