Keiko is a true inventive genius. She was raised by her grandfather Sato after her parents were lost in a marine accident. Keiko was 3 years old at the time. Her grandfather supports her in everything she does and thanks to him she has a wealth of knowledge. Their shore home is generally a messy place, but also a laughing place. Keiko is persistent, a dreamer, open to new ideas and not afraid of a challenge. Yui, her much younger neighbour, usually sneaks over to Keiko's house to see her new invention in action, when they both wear white scientist's robes.
Her parents were in the Blue Hunter team, so she wants to join the organization and find out what happened to her parents. Keiko's dream is to create inventions that will help scientists to work efficiently and safely on both land and in the ocean.
