This device was drawn from a book, it has not yet been published, but I am the author and can afford to draw the main detail in the story. All this was inspired by the manga Attack on Titan and the concept of this device is similar. Here acceleration occurs through the release of gas under high pressure creating jet thrust. That's why it's called "Constant Speed Mechanism".
This is a completely unarmed version of the device and is a student model with reduced weight.
