✨️ Lingling: The Fragrance of Nature 🌿

Description: Dumagat Negritos in the northeast coast of Luzon describe the Balendik as a tree-dwelling white spirit with thin legs and a horse’s head. Negritos who have a successful hunt in the forest chop off a part of their kill and throw it up a tree as offering to the creature saying: “This is for thee.” The Balendik is possibly related to the tikbalang.
Lingling’s tree is also home to the Waling-waling flowers, which are her namesake.
