i was practicing hands and decided that i'd make it ✨fancy✨ and post it. I struggle with clasped and fisted hands the most so i kinda focused on that type of hands.
Since i was going to post it here, i wanted to color code some things for you guys. Ofc how hands are drawn depends on the art style, but knowing the basic structure of hands or anatomy in general is important imo (bc you can build off it and conquer hands in any style💪). I like to exaggerate my anatomy but i first practice trying semi realistic hands (studies ig) for an example.
anywho, the orange shows where the hand/wrists bend, so the joints which if you want to realistically map how a hand is, how it would grab, motion, etc, is important so yk where and how you should draw the bending movement. When i'm sketching hands i'm not familiar with, i like to draw it out geometrically, so break down the hand into basic structures. i'm running out of characters in this desc so i hope this was helpful 😭
