A glimpse into the familiar but not so familiar scene of Filipino folklore.

(from left to right)

Tiyanak - a vampiric creature in Philippine mythology that takes on the form of a toddler or baby.

Tikbalang - it lurks in the mountains and forests of the Philippines. It is a tall, bony humanoid creature with the head and hooves of a horse and disproportionately long limbs.

Sirena - a mythological sea creature from Filipino culture. Sirenas are portrayed as vicious mermaids.

Kapre - a tree giant, it is described as being a tall, big, black, terrifying, hairy, muscular creature.

Mananangal - also vampiric creatures capable of severing its upper torso and sprouting huge bat-like wings to fly into the night in search of its victims.

Diwata - similar to fairies or nymphs, they are known for being astoundingly beautiful, ageless and for having blemish-free and fair colored skin.

Duwende - They are little creatures who provide good fortune or foretell an ominous fate to people.
