This is a illustration made specifically to homage great Italian comic book artist Luciano Gatto for his 86º birthday. Gatto drew many Italian comics, specially for Topolino (Mickey Mouse) comic book. Among the non-Disney comic book characters he drew is Pietrino, a caveboy. This illustration is based on the work of another great Italian artist, Marco Rota, a cover he drew for "Topolino D'Oro", a anthology published in 1973 with reprints of "Lost in the Land of Long Ago", a story told in newspaper strips drawn by Great Floyd Gottfredson.
