Kiki's Delivery Service is officially 30 years old!
This remains one of my top seven animated movies, right next to When Marnie Was There and Koe no Katachi. I really adore Kiki: she's so headstrong and her determination to keep going is quite inspiring, especially as an adult. Moreso, I admire her falibility: it takes a lot of strength to stop and let yourself have a moment to move through feelings.
So, in honor of her 30th anniversary, I drew a postcard sized image of her soaring through a sunny sky. But this is only one of two: there's a nighttime version too, which I'm glad to show you!
If you haven't already, consider viewing Kiki's Delivery Service as soon as you can. Host a party, watch it on a rainy day, or snuggle up and get ready to laugh and cry by yourself. It’s a good movie for so many occassions.
