Rei is an automaton - a sheet of carbon skin stretched over a frame of lightweight metal and wires. Powered solely by lunar light, she recharges each night by the moon and works in her little tea shop by day while waiting for her next target to be assigned by whoever pays enough. From the nature of her work, she has grown to see humans as an inferior race - maggots under her heel - and thus refuses to talk with the unworthy.
Despite her metal frame, she feels, looks and acts human - enough so that most wold never know unless they were to melt past her heat/cold/acid resilient skin layer. And in spite of her metal build, she is surprisingly agile, leaping between buildings and off of walls like a steel ninja.
Her sickle staff, fashioned to resemble a crescent moon, is sharpened on either side of the blade and functions as a spear, warscythe and guillotine. She has never missed a mark.
