This was very hard to draw because it was just heartbreaking to think about. What am I talking about? The Momma cat. Momma would come sit on my porch any time of year. Winter snow storm? She'd be right there. No one knew who her owner was, but all we knew was that she traveled from house to house with kittens. She had about 4-5 kittens. They lived under a shed, and I was able to get close to them, close enough to pet them. I would pet them when they ate, they didn't mind me. When it was fall, I had got some bad news. All of the kittens died of starvation and dehydration. Even though we cared for the kittens and Momma, it wasn't enough to keep them alive. We tried our best to feed and hydrate them all, but we had our own cats to care for, too. None of the neighbors would feed them, so we were on our own. Earlier today I got news about her. She was hit by a speeding car that didn't see her. I will never forget her... She will always be remembered, along with all of of her kittens.
