Step 1: draw a circle (it doesn't have to be a perfect circle as long as you can work with it^^)

Step 2: Draw a vertical line at the side where you want the character to face (the line is only long enough to the point where you want the chin to be^^)

Step 3: Draw a horizontal line where you want to position the eye (and ear since I usually draw a line that goes across the circle so that the eye and ear are at the same level^^)

Step 4: Mark where you want to place your eye and ear; then sketch out first the nose bridge then continue on to the mouth and chin.

step 5: Draw a line below the ear to mark the end of your jawline then draw a line that connects the chin to the line below the ear.

Step 6: At the middle of the line in step 5 (you can adjust where you want to start , I just like mine a little near the chin^^), draw down the front of the neck and starting from the other side of the circle, you can draw the backside of the neck^^
