The second child of the late Yama Clan, she is Karon's adored younger sister and innocent soul hunted by the Yager Clan. Mako was far too young to remember the destruction of her family and home, growing up alongside her brother and friends out in the rough wilds and living anything but a wealthy life. Despite the difficulties though, she's remained optimistic and cheery, and finds splendor in the company of loved ones and the wonders of the world.
Additionally, Mako has the special gift to "see" Spirits or creatures of the spiritual realm and possesses unusual luck. While she often finds herself in trouble of all sorts, she escapes with minimal harm. These traits are in fact given to her through one of the Four Dragon Gods (Shiren no Kami) who secretly inhabits her body.
