Illustration based on a 1960s Brazilian animated commercial for VARIG, the first airline founded in Brazil. The commercial , produced in the studio of Brazilian animator Ruy Perotti (1937-2005)was based on a Japanese legend, the story of a fisherman called Urashima Taro. The animated commercial was strongly popular in Brazil for years, mainly because the beautiful jingle in the voice of Japanese Brazilian female singer Rosa Miyake. The jingle was written by Archimedes Messina. Traditional pencils and digital inks.
