常冬の地「カレヤラ」そこで相棒の鷲シャクシャインとともに巡礼と布教の旅をする女性僧侶コンルと出会ったユアンとミカ。彼女の次の目的地まで護衛をすることに。町が見えてきたところで、コンルの肩に留まっていたシャクシャインがミカの腕に飛び移った。「わあ！」いきなりで少し驚いたミカにコンルは笑いかけながら言った。「ミカ君の事が気に入ったみたいね」そんな姿を見てユアンは微笑むのであった。
