Here’s a simple tutorial of how I’ve been drawing hair as of late. This also a character reveal of Ben’s older brother Aurelius. Though he has another last name since they were adopted by different families when they were younger.
Hair tutorial:
All on same layer, tip for straight/lightly curled hair
1- choose a base color then with the pen brush create a solid base of the hair
2- choose a darker shade of the main color with the watercolor wet brush (edit suggestions above). Then create the hair pattern with the darker color
3- then repeat this process but with a lighter color of the main color
4- finally use the original/main hair color and brush against the lighter and darker hair strands
