Philippine folklore refers to the mythical creatures that are believed by certain group of people. Mangkukulam, manananggal, and tiktik are part of it.
Mangkukulam is a witch that uses pictures, voodoo doll and needles to perform the act, "kulam".
Manananggal, in daylight, is in form of a human and half-bodied monster at night.
Tiktik, on the other hand, is a monster with long tongue that seeks for it's prey at night, usually an unborn baby; thus it targets pregnant women.
These strange creatures has been part of philippine culture and beliefs. Just mentioning their names can make a filipino, especially children, turn into scaredy cats.
