One night as he was flying, he wasn't really paying attention, and rammed into a tree, injuring his right front leg. He fell into a small clearing with a circle of trees. The next morning, Maisie (my OC), discovered Dark, and she immediately ran over to help him. He was very frightened, even after she helped heal his injury; but gradually, she was able to gain trust from him. (He was sorta like a wild animal rather than a personified creature, so in a way, he is a pet to her)-- but more of a companion than a "pet"

Dancing in the Dark bio:
There was a creature (let's call him Dark for now) that lived on his own since he was just a baby. He was part of a litter, but a predator (of some sort idk lmao I'll figure it out later) had killed his mother and all the babies except for two, in which the other one who survived had died a few years later due to a fatal injury (maybe accidentally falling off a cliff or into a river or something??). Anyway, he grew up, and spent most nights flying in the dark, perhaps to enjoy the air, or maybe looking for any signs of life, as the area he lived in was deserted.
