AAHH. This was hard. I drew the eyes extremely close the reference- next time I should try using the reference loosely. I wanted his face to look really warm against the cool blues but I think I failed that. Also, I dont have a good grasp b/w gradual + cast shadows.

I tried doing this by with mainly the marquee tool- I think it certainly made the process faster and easier but I should practise digital painting more. I sort of dont like how curved the face is.
