Lord Ada Kaemon is the person responsible for saving Yama Karon & Mako's lives when their clan was destroyed and abandoning his own to continue to protect them. Upholding a strong sense of duty and loyalty, strengthened by his close bond with Karon, Kaemon chooses to continue living as a retainer to the Yama family despite everyone's lack of status and aids them however he can. He seeks to bring justice to both their families.
Through years of struggles and obstacles, Kaemon never faltered in his trust or loyalty and never swayed from the siblings' sides. He even formed a crush on Karon's sister Mako. This "secret" admiration, however, is poorly kept despite his best attempts. Luckily neither Karon or Mako comment on it.
