This is featuring my character Ottero and his wife Otterina. The sensitive subjects being hinted at are some PTSD and a man and woman being very loyal to each other through thick and thin. They share a bed as most married couples in his world do.
This comic has more serious undertones because, unlike Corkhorn, Ottero's background does have dark things in it. He was a pirate against his will. He stood up for others and ended up getting punished for it, a lot.
When Corkhorn defeated the evil Captain who kidnapped him, the unicorn inadvertently saved Ottero's life and reunited him with his long lost family. For this, Ottero and the whole crew call Corkhorn Captain, despite Corkhorn telling them he's not a Captain.
