Otherwise known as ‘Piston Honda’ in the NES game, Piston Hondo is the first opponent in the Major Circuit in the Wii game and the champion in the Minor Circuit in the NES game.
He’s probably the only non-English speaking character so far whose language I actually have more knowledge about beyond a few sentences and words. While I’m not fluent in Japanese, I am not hopeless in it either (though I definitely know the Japanese words for cat and kitten, due to my love for cats). If you asked me what weather it is today in Japanese, I could answer it.
(Though when I do draw his headband, I’ll write ‘ban’ in hiragana, since I’m not overly familiar with the kanji for it).
Also, back on topic, Hondo is sandwiched between the two fat characters, so you know what that means for the next character I’ll draw (triangular Bear Hugger).
