This is my entry for volume 7 of the Chance to be Featured series.
The theme for this volume was past vs. present. I decided to redraw a cupcake that I had originally drawn on June 7, 2020. It was a rushed drawing so it wasn't my best work. When the theme for this volume was released, I thought it would be a good chance to do it differently. It's not necessarily better; they could both use some work. However, they each have their good qualities. 🧁
For my present drawing, I redid the flower frame to make it bigger and more circle shaped. I changed one of the frosting layers to a cake layer. I made the frosting more even, and made the lines thinner. I also made the cherry rounder. 🍒 Lastly, I changed the color scheme to be more realistic.
