I've never been to Japan. But when i think of Japan the first thing that pops up in my mind is Sumidagawa which is one of my favourite feativals. Honestly at first it was the lanterns that attracted me but after I looked up the reason behind it so now it's not just because of how beautiful the lanterns look floating on the water but the reason behind the festival.About my illustration I'm not very familiar with painting lanscapes bur i tried ^w^and I made the character wear black because over here we wear black when we lose someone. I illust this as a respect for those who lost their lives in the air raids and fires of the war in 1946~
