These Swallowtail sea turtles are the mutated version of the Loggerhead sea turtles due to plastic pollution brought by numerous plastic straws. Countless efforts were made to protect the Loggerhead sea turtles but the damaged has been done and harmful toxins had been tolerated by their body, hence the deformation in their flippers. These mutant turtles were first discovered by a fisherman living near the coast, a few years after the Loggerhead sea turtles were declared no longer included as endangered secies. They were named after their back flippers resemble those of the smallowtail butterfly hindwings.
