I joined the D&D club during 1st quarter of High School (I’m freshman Btw) and I was worried that I would be bullied for doing something as nerdy as D&D. But I was wrong, everyone was pretty chill about it and no one harassed me about it, the dungeon master and my other party members are some of the nicest people, I’ve ever met in my life and I’ve been able to open up and be more confident in myself and with my D&D friends and doing D&D has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. I feel like people have a misconception about D&D and how it’s just a bunch of antisocial, snobby neckbeards in their moms basement who don’t know how to socialize. Don’t let you anxiety control what you do and what you think others would think,
The truth is that no one really cares about what you like or do In your free time. Just open up and try something that you want to do. I bet you won’t regret it
