This piece is inspired by the tradition“遛鸟儿/Bird Walk”in my hometown Beijing. People usually cover the cage with fabric to protect the pet and the inside of the cage is invisible to others. It looks like the cage becomes the pet and the person gently carries it everywhere. One day the cage has babies, and a lot of vibrant small cages entered the new world with a happy parade. However, no matter how freely they can fly and run, they are born to be cages.
