Kitsune is a five-tailed fox spirit working in the human world, serving under one of the Four Dragon Gods (Henka no Kami), whose main purpose is to root out corruption and Oni influence, and eliminate them. Kitsune's current task is to aid Lord Yager Tybris in his hunt for the Yama siblings, whose bloodline had been cursed and is tied to a powerful Oni, and ensure they will not be a threat to the world.
Kitsune eventually joins Yama Karon & Mako on their journey, alongside Aisuru, and quickly befriends them, becoming a formable ally. Note: Kitsune and Aisuru are actually the same person, one of the two is an illusion or body double created with their powers. The doubles switch constantly and pose as partners in their professions.
