Newest art of Ekans in colored pencil.
I'm probably one of the only people or few who actually likes Ekans, in my Pokémon play through I'm always looking for this Pokémon so I can capture and use this cool snake Pokémon in my team. In my opinion I find Ekans to be pretty useful, mostly in the original games where the move wrap immobilized and kept your opponents Pokemon from attacking. Plus using poison sting along with it to poison their Pokémon, is a pretty good combo. Sadly now that combo isn't that effective since wrap doesn't immobilize Pokémon anymore, but I still like using ekans none the less.
I even love Ekans in the Pokémon anime when Jessie used to play it, even though you that pikachu or whatever Pokémon it gonna utterly defeat this Pokémon. I still find myself rooting for Ekans every now and then, cause we underdogs gotta stick together. Team rocket blasting off again!!!!
