Reason of Endangerment- Human had illegally collected the eggs on beach when the turtle come ashore to nest. If turtle is spotted nesting, the poachers will also capture the turtle. Due to its unique glow the eggs and the turtles are consumed as delicacy or medicine.
History of Discovery- Eggs of the bioluminescent turtle were discovered in a remote, unhabituated island by a blue hunter. The blue hunter monitored the eggs until they hatched and were able to safely returned to the ocean.
