Falling in Love LEVEL 1

In this piece, I utilized the secondary colors, purple, green, and orange, to create this piece which is supposed to represent the feeling of being heartbroken. As in, that hard state of limbo/orbit, where you attempt returning to what you were before. Secondary colors reflect this, as they can be representative of love itself, two colors combined to form another, a la love/monogamy. Therefore, I decided to use irony that comes with utilizing that idea alongside a broken heart. It also plays with the expression, "falling in love", as in this piece, love is portrayed as scary and void-like. I also utilized the golden ratio to show highlight specific areas. I also utilized contrast, as seen with the dark purple void at the bottom-left and the bright orange, at the top-right. The bright neon-greens are also there to express movement. Generally this piece is dedicated towards mocking the idea of love, through the use of composition, color, and contrast.
