I wanted to make something with Japanese folklore creatures for quite a while, so when I saw the contest theme, I picked a few and made them have a nice dinner together outside someone's house. I ended up drawing a nice Japanese garden too, but that wasn't planned at all. My favourite one is probably Sagari, never have I ever drew anything so bizzaire as a hanging horse head with an arm out of it's forehead, but it was ton of fun. I also tried a new, very simple shading style. I'm beginning to like the folklore creatures more and more, even thinking of making more throrough research and make some manga about them and/or include them in some other of my works.
