This illustration was created specifically to the birthday (03/05) of friend Jean Carlos Eler, comic book collector, fan of "Beetle Bailey" and "Hagar, the Horrible". Jean Carlos is also the admin of a Brazilian Facebook to Beetle Bailey (Recruta Zero) fan group. This illustration was based on Neal Adams cover to "Superman versus Muhammad Ali" and also on Tom Neely's cover to IDW "Popeye" vol.3 #3. In Brazil, Lieutenant Flap Jack is known as "Tenente Mironga".
