Characteristics (Reason, circumstances etc): Due to the rise of the seas and the consequent flooding of most of the earth's surface, these artificial islands were created in order to preserve most of the terrestrial species, both animals and plants and trees. These islands take advantage of the strong winds and solar radiation caused by climatic changes to produce energy; inside it houses those in charge of the maintenance of the island, however, these were designed to be self-sufficient and unsinkable, in case of human extinction. The islands have different ecosystems and different functions, some are purifying the air, producing food or cleaning the seas.
