I really love the custom noise feature of Medibang Paint and one day had a sudden idea of using the differently from just overlays or backgrounds of their own.
Here I've combined gradient layers and different kinds of textures. Pastel colors and the Marker Paper texture are my favourite to use! Try it yourself! You will need:
a) At least 2 matching colors
b) a neutral texture set to a low to medium % overlay (marker and paper textures are good)
c) experiment with what you like! Put some speedlines over it or give it more textures, make copies of layers, mask layers to reveal other gradients under them etc
It's really easy!
I thought these examples of early experiments would be really good to show:
1) A starry sky - the first thought I had when I came up with this;
2) Thought about making a sky resemble cotton candy;
3) A cloudier effect and more soft pastels!
4) A sky portal "event horizon"
5) Excitement!! Tried making a rainbow gradient.
