The painting depicts the twin daughters of the artist. Girls in their native places of Russia - at a dacha not far from Nizhny Novgorod, I often admired the cheerful girls, and this portrait is from the series "for myself." The picture shows funny and playful, perky and restless - "Daughters-flowers", as the artist calls his daughters. I think every parent considers their children to be the best on earth, time flies too quickly and therefore I want to capture children's emotions, movements, children's delicate skin and a cheerful, carefree look. The artist tried to stop time in his painting so as not to forget these happy childhood moments of his children.
