After being abandoned at a young age by his parents due to the results of their irresponsible experiments which tainted nearly all the waters of the country. He lived in shame and was psychologically tormented by everyone but when he is at sea exploring all that he could find, either treasures or even scraps from a shipwreck, the thoughts and hatred disappeared. Upon discovering his knack for finding things followed by the equipment left by his parents, the Kame Kekkai which shields him from the underwater pressure and the Orukamasuku that allows him to breathe underwater, he swore to find his parents so that they can take the responsibility that they dumped on him.
