Miller is half monster and half human, he has a skin condition so he was outacsted because of that and for being half human, Newt is an angel who is new, Ave who is Millers closest friend has also met Newt and is fasinated that he's is also an Angel, Newt and Miller are working on becoming friends but Miller is Jelous because Ave is more facinated in Newt which i swhy Miller has a grudge against Newt.
Newt is very shy in he fisrt place and hasnt opened up to neither Miller or Ave.

Also Newt isn't blind he just hasn't had a hair cut UWU.
