I think it’s time to start learning from my favourite artists…

Artsyles are great because all of us eventually settle on our unique ones… We usually do that by gathering all that we love from our favourite artists, mashing them all together and adding our unique flair to it.

I love a ton of artists and their works, but even my favourites have a part which I would like to change. I think that’s great. My favourite artist of all time is Yoshitaka Amano, but even though I love his art, I think some parts of it are his own unique something, which I can’t “take” or “borrow”(nor I want to), the most I can do is form an idea out of it and take that(I’m obsessed with ideas), example – “So you can draw eyes like that too”, or – “if you draw them like that it’ll feel…” I’m using eyes as an example because that’s the part of Amano’s art which feels the most “his own”. That’s great because even though I don’t like this particular part of his style, someone else does. Isn’t it amazing?
