You drew something and it looks terrible? Redraw it one more time!
It's easier to correct mistakes after you've made them, actually noticing that there's something wrong with your drawing is a good sign!
Your eye is getting sharp, this way you can improve on the parts it made your illustration look weird.
Want a tip? Flip the canvas while you draw from time to time, you'll spot some odd points and get to fix them right away.
Always sketch before doing the lineart, it saves a lot of time!
