For my school project, I decided to do a report on the late Mary Blair, one of Disney's most influential concept artists. Her art style revolved around using very vibrant colours and simple shapes to just construct a scene. (I didn't even know that I was inspired by her even though I kept incorporating elements of her art style in!)
To complete my project, I also decided to add in her touch to this work. What I learnt from her, in retrospect, was that colour choice is one of the main things that will make your illustration POP. Perhaps your anatomy or your drawings may not necessarily be realistic or look the way you want it to; but colour is what's gonna catch the eye. And remember that we all can always improve in our art!°˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°
